Hotel Reviews
Great Location and hotel
Large hotel, 10 minutes walk to pub street and night market. Nice salt pool, breakfast buffet very nice. Beds were very comfortable and a choice of pillows was Available. Room was large and airy, strong wifi. Had a nice stay.
Grand Hotel
The hotel was very good with attentive staff and rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was really good however as we tend to sit outside, I found it frustrating that they kept the door into the breakfast room closed so the outside was separated. Food was good and had a decent variety. I have to say it wasn't a very vibrant hotel. We had the large pool to ourselves most of the time when we got back from any tours so it was very uninteresting. They had a decent selection of drinks however if you decided on something different from Angkor beer they had run out. Pub Street is definitely the place to go at night - it is a 15 min walk so we opted for a tuk tuk which cost about $3 each way. Overall it was a nice stay in Siem Reap
and probably the best place out of the 3 we went to ie Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh.
absolutely stellar customer service in a clean beautiful hot
I stayed at the Sokha Angkor Resort for six nights April 2-8, 2017. The hotel is beautiful. Everything about the property is clean and well maintained. The service from ALL staff is superb. From morning to morning they even remember where you like to sit, what you drink, etc
What particularly stands out is the final interaction with the hotel staff. I had checked out and our guide took us sightseeing before going to the airport. My guide was being nice but did not consider that what we did would make me a wet sweaty mess. The heat and humidity outside were intense. I was disgusted and frustrated. I demanded to be taken somewhere, anywhere so that I could shower before my overnight flight to Shanghai. I was willing
to pay for a hotel room just for a shower! My guide took me back to the Sokha Angkor Resort. They were surprised to see me return. I explained my needs and they saw I was upset. Without hesitating they had the bell service take my suitcase and escort me to the spa to use the showers complimentary.
This hotel was truly my home while in Siem Reap. Without a doubt I highly recommend and encourage you to use this resort. It is located in a very nice central location. There is a grocery store on the corner as well as a money exchange (though the money exchange people are not friendly). The walk to Pub Street is reasonable and if you want a Tuk-Tuk is it $3 each way.
Please use Sokha Angkor Resort without concern - it is the best!
